Chinese new year: 23rd January

Chinese New Year is an annual festival based on the Chinese calendar. The date varies slightly from year to year. This year, it will be celebrated on 23rd January. Each New Year is named after one of the animals from the Chinese zodiac. 2012 is the year of the dragon, the only mythical animal.
Dragons have been a part of Chinese culture for over six thousand years. For the Chinese, dragons are good creatures. Chinese dragons are wise and caring and have magicalpowers. As they are considered a symbol of power, strength, success, luck and honour, theyhave also represented the imperial power of the emperors. Also, the Chinese believe thatthey are descendants of the dragon.

PEACE DAY

Imagina que no hay cielo
es fácil si lo intentas
ningún infierno bajo nosotros
sobre nosotros solo cielo
imagina a toda la gente
viviendo para hoy…
Imagina que no hay países
no es difícil de hacer
nada por que matar o morir
ni tampoco religión
imagina a toda la gente
viviendo la vida en paz…
Puedes decir que soy un soñador
pero no soy el único
espero que algún día te nos unas
y el mundo será uno.
Imagina nada de posesiones
me pregunto si puedes
ninguna necesidad de avaricia o ansias
una hermandad del hombre
imagina a toda la gente
compartiendo todo el mundo…
Puedes decir que soy un soñador
pero no soy el único
espero que algún día te nos unas
y el mundo vivirá como uno.
